Attorney General Ken Paxton opened an investigation on two pharmaceutical companies that are misleading sexually confused minors with their drugs:
- Endo Pharmaceuticals
- AbbVie Inc
The companies advertised puberty blockers to treat gender dysphoria. It is a mental disorder wherein a person feels a mismatch between their gender identity and their assigned sex at birth.
The companies allegedly promoted their products for “unapproved uses without disclosing the potential risks associated with these drugs to children and their parents.”
The FDA has not approved these drugs to treat gender dysphoria. Paxton seeks to determine whether these companies violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
Paxton shared his thoughts during an interview on Fox News. He made it clear how this violated human rights.
He said, “Puberty blockers used on minors experiencing gender dysphoria is child abuse. Doctors, parents, guardians, and counselors who aid and abet the use of puberty blockers in an improper manner are complicit in the abuse. As are prescription drug manufacturers, which is the basis of my investigation.”
Then he added, “Everyone involved in damaging our young people like this must be held accountable and brought to justice. That’s exactly what I’m doing.”
Giving puberty blockers to mentally ill children is definitely a form of child abuse. They need emotional support, not chemicals to mess them up further.
There’s a big chance that Endo Pharmaceuticals and AbbVie Inc are doing this for the money.
Endo Pharmaceuticals is denying that they are promoting these drugs for gender dysphoria. Company spokeswoman Heather Zoumas Lubeski made a futile attempt to defend themselves.
She said, “The company has not promoted either of these medications outside of their indications. It does not promote medications for off-label uses. That being said, we intend to fully cooperate with this investigation.”
Lubeski added, “We do not have any approved medications indicated for gender dysphoria. We do not promote medications for off-label uses.”
While the other pharmaceutical company, AbbVie, decided not to make any statement. Their silence definitely means something else…
Medical professionals also believe that these companies are misleading people with their drugs. Dr. Michael Laidlaw, an independent private practice endocrinologist in California shared his thoughts on this matter.
He said, “These drugs are only FDA approved as puberty blockers in children for the purpose of treating central precocious puberty… and not for gender dysphoria. The off-label use of these medications for gender dysphoria is completely different.”
Then he explained the possible side effects of the drugs. Laidlaw added, “In this case, the healthy child has already begun normal puberty. But then the medication is given to block normal puberty. Blocking normal puberty has numerous unhealthy side effects. Including loss of normal bone development, interference with normal brain and social development… and it causes infertility and sexual dysfunction. Many of these effects will be irreversible.”
AG Paxton and Dr. Laidlaw already stated the facts. These pharmaceutical companies are abusing minors… and are forgetting about their integrity.
Remember, these victims are not yet adults with enough life experience to decide their path. Teens and children change their minds, and by being misled, could make a decision about their future that they wouldn’t have made had they known the truth.
Our patriot leaders in Texas did a great job squashing this problem before it got out of hand…
